BRISC Annual Conference & AGM — 27th March 2010
The BRISC Annual Conference will take place on Saturday 27th March 2010 in Montrose. The theme is "Biodiversity: Then and Now". There are four excellent speakers in the morning and, following the AGM and lunch, a series of fascinating local excursions to choose from. Bookings by 15th March.
Cairngorms Wildlife Recording Forum — Saturday 17th April 2010
The first ever Cairngorms Wildlife Recording Forum is taking place on Saturday 17th April at the Boat of Garten Community Hall. It should be a very enjoyable day with a great mix of varied presentations and a chance for everyone to meet up hopefully stimulating increased wildlife recording throughout the National Park. Tayside Recorders' Day — Saturday 13th March 2010
The third Tayside Recorders' Day, will be held at The Meffan in Forfar on Saturday the 13th of March. Talks at this event will cover a wide variety of areas in the field, including the recording of plants, invertebrates, and fungi, and the local relevance of national surveys. Wildlife Training Bursaries
BRISC (Biological Recording in Scotland) & GNHS (Glasgow Natural History Society) are together offering 4 Bursaries towards attending a Natural History course. All applications should be submitted electronically to BRISC by 1st March 2010 at the latest.
BRISC is a charity which promotes the gathering of wildlife data in order to increase public
awareness about biological diversity in Scotland and to ensure that effective actions are taken
to conserve this resource.
